Coalo is shortlisted for the BAME Award 2020

18 August 2020

The BAME Apprenticeship Awards 2020 Apprentice Finalists have been released and Coalo has been shortlisted for the Employer & Learning Provider BAME Awards 2020

The BAME Apprenticeship Awards in partnership with Pearson, showcases the outstanding work and achievement of apprentices from black and minority ethnic groups (BAME) and inspires BAME apprentices to reach their full potential.

The awards also raise the profile of employers and training providers across the UK, who are championing the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The awards platform has been instrumental in creating future leaders and ambassadors for Apprenticeships and brought to the forefront key issues surrounding the need for more diversity within particular sectors.

Winning employers have showcased their diversity and inclusion strategies and how it’s helped them to shape an inclusive and diverse work environment as best practice examples for other organisations to follow suit.

“While this year hasn’t been easy for anyone, we have seen true resilience from apprentices who have had to deal with an unprecedented scenario. Covid 19 is a historic moment and while I thought we would be forced to cancel the awards, the overwhelming response we have received has been humbling to say the least.” says Kasim Choudhry director of Thinkfest.

One of the apprentice that Coalo have supported is Himanshu Malhotra. “ I would like to give a big shout out to Coalo Limited for giving me the support throughout my journey. I have learnt a lot and gained a lot of experience on how to manage workload and expectations. Looking at situations the right way and not running away from them is one of the keys in reaching this achievement. There have also been some tough times where I have had to push through, and this has led me to learn a lot about myself. Lastly, I would just like to give a big thank you to my Line Managers for believing in me and supporting me during my apprenticeship. Whatever happens in the future, I will cherish this time as a very big aspect in helping me achieve my goals and success.” Says Himanshu Malhotra
