The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD)
3 December 2020
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is annually observed on 3 December to promote the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities and to take action for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society and development.
The theme this year is “Building Back Better towards a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”. People with disabilities have been particularly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the isolation and diminished services which have happened as a result. The goal for this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities is to spread awareness of invisible disabilities as well as the impact that COVID-19 has had on mental health.
On this Day, Coalo is joining the rest of the world to celebrate "a day for all". International Day of Persons with Disabilities represents a significant opportunity for Coalo to share our commitment, campaigns, leadership and stories of empowerment related to inclusion of people with disability in the workforce. The Company’s ambition for a cohesive community means that Coalo limited will advance equal opportunity by broadening people’s horizons beyond traditional racial, gender, sexual orientation and age discrimination.
